Meet Aspen From FineGermanShepherds. Aspen is a gorgeous, lacquer black , three year old female from FineGermanShepherds. She was born on July 17th, 2004. Her sire is DanneeBoy from FineGermanShepherds and her mother is Brenna Vom Waldenhaus. She is a very fun-loving dog who originally was adopted to a young couple at 10 weeks of age. They treated her very well but had many work demands and realized that the pup was spending too much time alone in the backyard. After much thought and tears, the couple decided they would not be able to keep this beautiful dog because they lacked time and attention that Aspen needed. We brought her back to FineGermanShepherds at 1 1/2 years old. She has been basically trained, and loves to play with a ball. She is OFA certified ( free of hip dysplasia),and we had her spay at 2 1/2 years old. She is also AKC registered. Aspen gets along well with adults, children, and cats. She is a tomboy at heart when it comes to playing ball with our big male GSD's. She can play with the boys for hours and has a great time! However, Aspen does not do well with other female dogs that try to dominate or bully her. She is out-going, and though I would not label her as an alpha female, she is also not a submissive girl to the other females. She is tenacious and cannot understand why any other girl would try to rob her of her jolly ball! She needs a home where she is only with male dogs, or the "only dog." Homes with dominating female dogs would not work for this gorgeous girl. Aspen loves to have a challenge and learning is fun for her. She needs space to run and loves being in outdoor activities with the family. She is an exceptional house dog with great manners. She adapts well to newcomers as long as they do not pose as a threat to the family. Aspen is an oversized female with her height being about 26 inches at the withers. She weighs about 105 pounds at this time. We are looking for a home that wants a nice companion dog to be part of the family and their activities.
